About Us

Bartuah Farms was founded by Gonyeyee Bartuah, a Liberian agriculturist and entrepreneur whose commitment to farming, rural development, and community empowerment has shaped every dimension of this enterprise. We believe agriculture is Liberia’s most powerful tool for food security, job creation, and economic resilience. Bartuah Farms was established to turn that belief into measurable, lasting results.

Located in Johnson Town, Garwula District, Grand Cape Mount County, Liberia, the farm operates as a sustainable, integrated agribusiness. Current operations center on oil palm production and pig farming, with a structured expansion roadmap that includes poultry, fish farming, snail farming, greenhouse vegetable production, palm oil refining, and packaged farm products — bringing the full agricultural value chain within reach of local communities.

But Bartuah Farms is more than a production enterprise. It is a community-centered agribusiness designed to strengthen local food supply, generate meaningful employment, and create tangible opportunities for youth and women to participate and thrive in agriculture. We believe that when rural communities gain access to productive farming systems, practical skills, and reliable markets, they become more food-secure, more economically independent, and more resilient.

Our operations are guided by a firm commitment to responsible farm management, environmental stewardship, quality production, and long-term community impact. Every crop grown, every animal raised, and every product delivered reflects our dedication to feeding families, supporting local markets, and contributing to a stronger, more self-reliant Liberia.

Vision

To become a trusted Liberian agribusiness that strengthens food security, creates employment, empowers rural communities, and delivers quality farm products for local markets.

Mission

Our mission is to produce quality farm products through responsible and sustainable integrated farming while supporting local food supply, job creation, and community development in Liberia. We are committed to growing oil palm, raising livestock, and expanding into poultry, fish farming, snail farming, greenhouse production, palm oil refining, and packaged farm products as the business grows.

Our Values

Sustainability
We farm with the future in mind. Every decision we make — from soil management to water use — is guided by our responsibility to protect the land, preserve natural resources, and ensure that the earth we farm today remains productive for generations to come.

Quality
We hold every product we grow and deliver to the highest standard. From oil palm to livestock, our customers and communities deserve farm products that are healthy, consistent, and dependable — and that is exactly what we produce.

Community Impact
Agriculture is our most powerful tool for rural development. We are committed to ensuring that the growth of Bartuah Farms translates directly into stronger local food systems, reliable employment, and improved livelihoods for the communities surrounding our farm.

Youth and Women Empowerment
We believe that Liberia’s agricultural future depends on who gets a seat at the table. Bartuah Farms actively creates space for youth and women to participate in farming, build practical skills, access income opportunities, and take ownership of their economic futures.

Integrity
We build every relationship — with our customers, workers, partners, and community — on a foundation of honesty, accountability, and mutual respect. How we operate matters as much as what we produce.

Innovation and Growth
We are not standing still. Through farm diversification, value-added processing, and continuous learning, we are building an agribusiness that grows stronger every season — and contributes to a more competitive, self-sufficient Liberian agricultural sector.
